Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) is a native Australian tree indigenous to the subtropical rainforest surrounding Byron Bay, the easternmost tip of Australia.  Naturally found nowhere else in the world, the plant is now grown commercially in eco-friendly plantations in the Byron Bay hinterland.  The leaves of the Lemon Myrtle tree produce a vibrant essential oil with an invigorating lemony aroma and powerful anti-microbial activity.
 
This fit the brief perfectly and resulted in the use of Lemon Myrtle as the leading key ingredient for the Refreshed range of natural personal care products.
